Entries Open For County And Provinical Teams Rás Tailteann 2025
Entries for the 2025 70th edition of Rás Tailteann are now open for Irish county and provincial teams ONLY.
They will remain open from 2PM on Monday, March 10th until 5PM on Monday, March 24th. Please enter as early as possible to allow for any issues/queries that may arise.

Route Details of Rás Tailteann 2025
The 70th edition of the Rás Tailteann will take place from May 21st to May 25th, 2025.
The event will start in the cycling stronghold of Drogheda, Co Louth on Wednesday, May 21st heading westwards to finish in Boyle, Co Roscommon.
A transfer to Charlestown for the start of stage two where the riders will take on the infamous Windy Gap and Maumtrasna climbs in the longest of the 2025 Rás Tailteann stages.
Another transfer to Co Mayo for the start of stage three, where Cong will welcome the Rás Tailteann.
After setting off from Cong, the riders will take in breathtaking scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way before they face the fast finish towards Miltown Malbay in County Clare. More>>>

The late Gaybo Howard as he appeared on the Stamullen Road Club`s welcoming Banner which was on display close to Gabriel`s homestead at Stedalt Cross on Sunday last May 26th 2024 as the final stage of this year`s Rás Tailteann cycling race passed through the village of Stamullen. The following, Poetic, lines were penned in the aftermath of this exciting and gruelling cycling race by local man Ray Gough of Gough`s Corner, who for many a long year played an active role in stewarding and marshalling for both the older Saint Patrick`s Cycling Club and also the Stamullen Road Club as part of the traditional Rás Naomh Padraig and the Stamullen Grand Prix cycle races which were an annual fixture on the Irish Cycle Racing Calendar. Our grateful thanks to Ray for taking the time out to put his thoughts into words concerning the Rás of last Sunday and of his memories of the cycling days of yester-year.
